Privacy Policy
Chen & Cheng International Attorneys-at-Law (Business ID: 42402054, the "Firm") respects and protects your personal data. This Policy explains how the Firm collects, processes and uses personal data on the website ccpartners.services (the "Website"), and provides the notice required under Article 8 of the Personal Data Protection Act of the Republic of China (Taiwan).

This English version is a translation provided for convenience. In the event of any discrepancy, the Chinese version shall prevail.

2. Purposes of Collection
The Firm collects your personal data for the following specific purposes:
- To receive and respond to legal enquiries submitted through the Website
- To contact you, clarify the matter and arrange any subsequent consultation
- To perform a preliminary conflict-of-interest check
- To analyse use of the Website in order to improve its content and usability
- To measure the effectiveness of the Firm's information channels
These correspond to the specific-purpose categories published by the Ministry of Justice, including "Legal Services", "Management of Contracts, Similar Contracts or Other Legal Relations", "Investigation, Statistics and Research Analysis" and "Marketing".
3. Categories of Personal Data Collected
3.1 Data You Provide
When you use the online consultation form, the Firm collects:
- Name (required)
- Contact details, telephone or email (required)
- Type of enquiry (optional)
- Content of enquiry (required)
The Firm does not collect your IP address or browser identifiers (such as the User-Agent string) through the form itself. The Website's hosting provider and analytics tools do, however, record technical data such as connecting IP addresses as necessary for their operation; see Section 3.2 below.
You may also contact the Firm by telephone or LINE official account, in which case the information you provide depends on the nature of that channel.
3.2 Data Collected Automatically
- Google Analytics 4: cookie identifiers, page views, device and browser information, approximate location, and interaction events (clicks on telephone or LINE links, form submissions)
- Meta Pixel: page views and the interaction events above
- Website hosting and content-delivery service: server logs, including connecting IP address and access time
The Firm uses such automatically collected data in aggregate form and does not use it to identify specific individuals. Use of such data by third-party service providers is governed by their respective privacy policies.
4. Period, Region, Recipients and Manner of Use
4.1 Period
- General rule: until the specific purpose of collection ceases to exist, or until the retention period prescribed by law expires
- Enquiries not resulting in an engagement: deleted no later than three (3) years thereafter
- Matters where an engagement is established: in accordance with the engagement agreement and customary file-retention practice in the legal profession
Where required by law, or where necessary to exercise or defend legal claims, the Firm may retain data for as long as necessary.
4.2 Region
The cloud services used by the Website are hosted on servers located outside the Republic of China: consultation form data is stored in the United States; Website content is served through nodes distributed worldwide; and the servers of the analytics and advertising tools (Google, Meta) and the messaging service (LINE) are likewise located outside Taiwan. Your data will be transmitted to and stored outside Taiwan. The Firm uses established international service providers that offer contractual protections.
4.3 Recipients
The Firm does not disclose your personal data to third parties except as necessary to achieve the purposes above:
- Cloud database provider (servers located in the United States): consultation form content, for data storage
- Website hosting and content-delivery provider: server logs, for website operation
- LINE (LY Corporation): the name, contact details and type of enquiry submitted through the form, together with the first 500 characters of the enquiry content, for real-time notification of new enquiries to responsible personnel
- Google (Google Analytics 4): technical data described above, for website traffic analysis
- Meta (Meta Pixel): technical data described above, for advertising measurement; Meta may also use such data to build its advertising audiences
The Firm may change the above service providers as its operations require, and will update this Policy accordingly.
The Firm will comply with lawful requests from competent authorities or judicial bodies to the extent required.
4.4 Manner
Stored electronically on the systems of the above providers, accessible only by personnel designated by the Firm within the scope necessary for their duties.
5. Your Rights and How to Exercise Them
Under Article 3 of the Personal Data Protection Act, you may:
- Enquire about or request to review your data
- Request a copy
- Request supplementation or correction
- Request cessation of collection, processing or use
- Request deletion

The Firm will consider your request in accordance with the requirements of the Act. Under Articles 10 and 11, the Firm may decline where otherwise provided by law, where compliance would impede a government agency's statutory duties, or where it would harm the material interests of a third party; in such case the Firm will explain its reasons.
Under Article 14 of the Act, the Firm may charge necessary costs for enquiries, review or the provision of copies.
6. Consequences of Not Providing Data
Providing personal data is voluntary. However, if the required fields of the form (name, contact details and content of enquiry) are not provided, the Firm cannot accept or respond to your enquiry.

7. Cookies and Tracking Tools
The Website uses cookies and similar technologies. You may disable them at any time:
- All cookies: block or delete cookies in your browser settings
- Google Analytics: install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout)
- Meta Pixel: adjust your Meta account "Ad Preferences", or block third-party cookies in your browser
Disabling cookies does not affect your access to the Website's main content.
8. Minors
The Website is not directed primarily at minors. Persons under the age of eighteen should provide personal data and contact the Firm with the assistance of a parent or legal guardian.
9. Duty of Confidentiality
The Firm is a law firm duly established under the laws of Taiwan. Its attorneys are bound by the duty of confidentiality under Article 36 of the Attorney Regulation Act and the Code of Ethics for Attorneys.
Information you provide through the Website will be handled with the same standard of care.
10. Data Security
The Firm adopts reasonable technical and organisational measures, including but not limited to encrypted transmission (HTTPS), tiered access control for administrative accounts, and restriction of access to enquiry data to personnel who require it.
No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be absolutely secure, and the Firm cannot provide such a guarantee.
11. No Attorney-Client Relationship
Submitting information through the Website or otherwise contacting the Firm does not create an attorney-client relationship. Such a relationship arises only upon mutual confirmation and execution of an engagement agreement.
Before an engagement is established, the Firm can carry out only a preliminary conflict-of-interest check. We therefore suggest that your initial contact briefly describe the nature of the matter, with detailed information to follow once both parties have confirmed the position. If your matter is time-critical, please telephone the Firm directly to avoid delay.
12. Amendments
The Firm may amend this Policy in response to changes in law, changes to its services, or other necessary circumstances. Amendments will be published on the Website with an updated effective date.
